'Metalocalypse' Co-Creator Talks About Dethklok 'Thunderhorse' Explorer Guitar (Video)

March 10, 2011

How does a guy go from Berklee guitar whiz to Adult Swim creative mastermind? Well, if you're Brendon Small, you do it with a king-sized sense of humor, coupled with the mind and fingers of a metal riff monster.

Small's Cartoon Network hit "Metalocalypse" is a late-night must for metal fans and cartoon lovers alike. The show's fictional band, DETHKLOK, has proven so popular that Small himself (who shreds for the program soundtrack) has recorded and toured with a live version of DETHKLOK. Now his metal status is forever enshrined with the release of the Gibson USA Dethklok "Thunderhorse" Explorer.

Small sat down at the Beverly Hills Gibson Showroom to talk about his own winding journey to stardom and the monster of a guitar waiting for him at the end of that road. Check out the chat in two parts below.
